Call for proposals Fondazione Cariplo

The call for enhancing the use of educational technology

DIGITA.R.SI  is an announcement with  deadline 31/05/2021 which is part of the strategic objective 'Employability: promoting the creation of new job opportunities and facilitating access to the labour market'.
The call for proposals represents a further stage of development of the "SI - Scuola Impresa Famiglia" project, promoted by Fondazione Cariplo since 2008 and implemented with the contribution of Fondazione Politecnico di Milano as performing partner. The aim of the project is to strengthen and promote the innovation of technical training courses, gearing them to a digital logic closer to the needs of the World of Work and consistent with the principles of "Industry 4.0".
The initiative, which is the subject of this call for proposals, is being implemented in partnership with the Bracco Foundation and envisages two lines of action. The first will be aimed at improving the quality of teaching, including laboratory teaching, in the disciplines STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), while the second will support the creation of digital products on the topic of 'incoming' school orientation, with the aim of enhancing the potential of STEM disciplines in technical education.

Submission of projects (Line 1 and Line 2) must take place on Fondazione Cariplo's online platform no later than 5 p.m. on 31 May 2021.

Institutes wishing to participate, either individually or as a lead partner, must identify a contact person for each project.

It fits into the strategic objective "Employability: promoting the creation of new job opportunities and facilitating access to the labour market".

Strengthen and incentivise innovation in technical training coursesthem with a digital logic closer to the needs of the World of Work and consistent with 'Industry 4.0' principles

The first will be aimed at improving the quality of teaching, including laboratory teaching, in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) disciplines

The second will support the creation of digital products on the topic of 'entry' school orientation, with the aim of enhancing the potential of STEM disciplines in technical education.

Line 1 Eligible Projects

Line 2 Eligible Projects

  • Propose activities that integrate the use of digital tools in teaching and/or laboratory activities (examples include remote laboratories**, virtual workshops***digital games, robotics) through the preparation of teaching protocols aimed at improving learning in the STEM disciplines;
  • Identify monitoring activities to assess the impact of the project proposal in terms of acquisition of skills and increased employability of future graduates;
  • Actively involving studentse.g. in workshop activities, by providing moments of verification also with respect to the training needs of students with educational needs special.

Projects should provide for the realisation of a digital product on orientation-related topics.

This line of intervention will enable students to

  • Reflect on the importance of science and technology subjects;
  • Strengthening relational and collaborative aspects between students through a peer approach education;
  • Enhancing research;
  • Working in groups;
  • Enhancing the local school system;
  • Promoting women's skills in science, encouraging new vocations;
  • Highlight the professional outlets and employability offered by the study pathway, also using placement statistics so as to underline the quality of the suggested choice.

SMC pneumatics and mechatronics workshops from 25,000€ (VAT included)

STEM labs and classrooms from 25,000€ (VAT included)

SMC Technical Training Italia has realised a number of solutions that integrate the use of digital tools in teaching and laboratory activities, proposing different types of laboratories: physical laboratories, virtual laboratories and digital tools.
Mixed virtual-real systems that allow students to conduct laboratory activities remotely, through the use of telepresence solutions, interacting with instruments and components of a physical laboratory

On the basis of the requirements set out in the call for tenders, Ligra DS has designed complete solutions to enable the creation of classrooms-laboratories with robotics and STEM solutions inside, equipped with everything necessary for their use. The proposed solutions provide classrooms complete with all the necessary technology. Basic solution for the study of STEM subjects.

Mechatronics workshop with remote management:

Multidisciplinary laboratory for face-to-face and remote teaching activities.

STEAM Laboratory Secondary School

With this solution, it is possible to create a classroom equipped with all the useful tools for studying STEM subjects (robotics, digital labs, making solutions) all accompanied by notebooks, tablets, software and a recharging trolley with 36 stations (ATTENTION: the quantities indicated inside the matrix can be modified according to the school's needs). Inside the matrix you will find all links to the documentation for the vai products.

Mechatronics & 3D Simulation:

Multidisciplinary workshop for the mechatronics student.

STEAM Laboratory Secondary School

With this solution, it is possible to equip a classroom-laboratory complete with solutions for studying STEM subjects as well as monitors, charging carts, notebooks and tablets. (ATTENTION: the quantities indicated inside the matrix can be modified according to the school's needs). Inside the matrix you will find all links to the documentation for the vai products.

Mechatronics & Troubleshooting

Assemble, plan, solve, collaborate. Multidisciplinary workshop to develop skills such as problem solving and collaborative learning.

Pneumatics & Electropneumatics

The technologies behind industrial automation. Multi-disciplinary workshop for the design and realisation of real and virtual pneumatic circuits.

Advanced Mechatronics & Troubleshooting
